A calm, light-filled original that brings a sense of stillness to any room.

I created Quiet Current as a conversation between structure and flow. The carved lines you see are intentional and controlled; the organic forms are not. They move the way thoughts do when you stop trying to organize them.

I spent almost two months building this piece, layering, stepping back, returning, and carving into the surface once the paint had time to settle. The turquoise and aqua tones are meant to feel expansive and grounding, while the touches of gold act like light catching at unexpected depths. Nothing here was rushed. Every mark stayed because it needed to.

This work is about quiet movement, the kind that happens beneath the surface long before anything changes on the outside.

Why you'll love living with it

• It changes with the light. The carved texture, gold accents and real string worked into the surface catch morning and evening light differently, so the painting never looks quite the same twice.
• Calming, not loud. Soft turquoise, aqua and warm gold create a restful focal point – ideal where you want to unwind.
• Truly one of a kind. This is the original, hand-made painting, not a print. Once it's sold, it's gone.
• Collect with confidence. Every painting comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
• Made to be seen up close. Mixed media layers give it a tactile, three-dimensional quality you can only experience in person.

Where it looks best

At 76 × 60 cm, it's an easy size to place: above a sofa or bed, over a console or dresser, in a reading corner, a home office, or a spa-like bathroom or entryway. It pairs beautifully with neutral, Scandinavian, Japandi and coastal interiors, light woods, linen and cream tones.
